Laura Jane (Deaver) Jackson
Laura Jane (Deaver) Jackson, age 62 of Salisbury passed away Friday, November 25th. Born on May 30, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Billy and Virginia (Blackwelder) Deaver.
Laura's career allowed her to spend many years in banking. She was Vice President, Banking Operations Director with F@M Bank in Salisbury for 36 years. She loved going to church and because she had such a wonderful voice, she sang in both the choir and solo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing with her granddaughter.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years; son; two brothers; granddaughter; niece; great niece; and two sister-in-laws. She is also survived by her mother-in-law; four nephews, two great nieces, two great nephews and 2 fur babies Jax and Jackie.
A funeral service to celebrate Laura's life will be held Thursday at 11 am in Whiltey's Funeral Home Chapel with Pastors Mike Robinson and J.R. Beaver to officiate. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be sent to Samaritan's Purse, 801 Bamboo Rd., Boone, NC, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
