Louie P. Jackson

SALISBURY - Mr. Louie P. Jackson, 88, went home to be with his Lord with his family by his side on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at his residence.

Born on Aug. 8, 1924 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late John Wilson and Ida Lou Eagle Jackson. Educated in the Rowan County Schools, he served his country in the US Army. He was a member of Landmark Church in Salisbury. He retired from Hoechst Celanese, where he worked in the filament department. Mr. Jackson loved gardening and reading.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Manteo, David and Ralph Jackson.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 63 years, Edith Waller Jackson; daughters, Judy J. Isenhour (Richard), Donna J. Graham (Rick) and son Rick Jackson (Laura) all of Salisbury; sisters, Thelma J. Luther of Asheboro and Ruby J. Page of Lexington; grandchildren, Richard Isenhour Jr. (Susan), Christopher Graham (Kristi), Jonathan Graham (Nikki) Joshua Isenhour and John Matthew Jackson; great-grandchildren, Robbie Isenhour, Kaitlyn, Colin, and Sydnee Graham.

Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 from 10-11 a.m. at Landmark Church in Salisbury with funeral following at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Mike Robinson, minister. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.

Memorials: May be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, or Landmark Church, Salisbury, NC.

Linn Honeycutt Funeral Home in China Grove is serving the family.
