THOMASVILLE - John Willard Cranford, 77, of Route 5, Harrison Hedrick Road died April 6, 1993, at Community General Hospital.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park.

A native of Stanly County, he was a former truck driver for Peace's Poultry, former owner and operator of the Thomasville Diner, an Army veteran of World War II, a member of V.F.W., and the Thomasville Moose Lodge.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Lois Kennedy Cranford; daughters, Mrs. Betty Hughes of Thomasville, Mrs. Jessie Freeman of Hickory, Mrs. Brenda Hill of Lexington, Mrs. Donna Wright, Ms. Sherry Everhart, both of Thomasville; sons, James Freddie Cranford, John Eddie Cranford, both of Thomasville; sisters, Mrs. Essie Stemper, Mrs. Bessie Stemper, both of Albemarle; brother, Robert Cranford of Randleman; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 tonight.\
