Annie Burris Kirk
Annie Burris Kirk, 90, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away Sunday August 25, 2013 in her home. Her funeral service will be at Noon on Friday August 30, 2013 in the Stanly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marvin Goodnight officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30 AM prior to the service at Stanly Funeral Home.
Born April 30, 1923 in Stanly County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jacob N. and Ida Baucom Burris.
Mrs. Kirk was a retired employee of the Concord Telephone Company and was a member of the Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Wilson Kirk on February 1, 1988.
Mrs. Kirk is survived by a son, Guy T. Kirk of Concord, NC, a daughter, Esca Clariece K. Felker of Lenexa, Kansas, a brother, Rev. Irvin Burris of Salisbury, NC, a sister Greta Burris of N. Kansas City, Missouri, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three brothers: Simeon V. Burris, Van Buren Burris and Guy Burris and three sisters: Virginia Burris, Clara Burris and Lant Staton.
Memorials may be made to Catholic Community Hospice, Overland Park, Kansas.
