Elizabeth Curlee Gore
CHARLOTTE - Elizabeth Curlee Gore, of Charlotte, passed away Feb. 3, 2015, at Sunrise Senior Living.
She was born in Salisbury on July 17, 1927, to the late William Curlee and Nellie Pickler Curlee. She was the youngest of seven children.
Elizabeth graduated from Catawba College and began her long teaching career. She also was very active in her church and taught Sunday School for more than 20 years. Elizabeth was also an avid rose gardener.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 65 years Robert Gore; and her children, Robert Gore Jr. (wife Cathy) and Lois Kessler (husband Dr. Raymond); grandchildren Raymond, Stuart and James Kessler, Mary Pinto and Sarah Gore.
Arrangements: A memorial service will be held on Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. at Prichard Memorial Baptist Church, 1117 South Blvd., Charlotte, NC. A visitation for family and friends will take place before the service at 1 p.m.
The family would like to thank the caregivers in the memory care unit at Sunrise Senior living as well as Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region for their loving care and support.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pritchard Memorial Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements are in the care of Hankins & Whittington Funeral Service.
