Lois B. Page

Lois B. Page, 88, of Norwood, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, November 7, 2014 at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born April 23, 1926 to the late Henry Van and Lattie Parker Broadaway. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Calvin “Nick” Page, daughter, Joyce Hackney and son, Ronnie Page, a brother, Melvin Broadaway and sisters, Inez Hamilton, Mildred Castor, Ollie Alexander and Orean Hinson.

She is survived by her five children, daughters, Terri Page and Lori Page Becker and husband, Bill of Asheville and sons, Don Page and wife Kathy, Barry Page and wife Cathy, Jeff Page and wife Crystal, all of Norwood. She is survived by eight grandchildren, Trey Hackney, Ansley Isenhour, Ashley Fogarty, Brinn, Leigh, Jessy, Nic and Drake Page. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Lilly Fogarty. She is also survived by two siblings, brother, Robert Broadaway and sister, Louise Shankle.

Lois was a cherished and talented Mom, devoted wife and caretaker of all. She was kind and generous, always willing to help others. Her Sunday Lunch and Holiday Feasts were celebrated events in her family.

A fabulous cook, an accomplished seamstress, a skilled china painter, she loved working in her garden and teaching her children and grandchildren how to live a Blessed and Simple Life. Her wisdom and counsel was sought after advice and will be greatly missed. She was an active member of Norwood First Baptist Church. Lois was a Prayer Warrior and her Faith was the foundation of her strength to the end.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Norwood. Rev. Mark Forrest will officiate and burial will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home.
