Howard O. Wilde
Howard Orton Wilde, 73, of Rockwell, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.
He was born February 3, 1945 in La Grande, OR to the late Oscar and Alma Orton Wilde. Howard was a 1963 graduate of Union High School. Howard worked as a Auto Body Mechanic. He enjoyed playing tennis, and taking care of his family. Howard was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salisbury.
In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his Wife, Trudy Iddings Wilde.
Howard is survived by his daughter, Katherine Redmon and husband David of China Grove; son, Kenneth Duane Wilde and wife Mardy of Rockwell; grandsons, Zachary Damon Wilde and Caleb Lee Redmon; granddaughters, Emily Michele Redmon and Megan Elizabeth Redmon; great-grandsons, Isaac and Eli.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC, with Bishop Clifford Daines, officiating and Military Graveside Rites Provided by the United States Marine Corp and the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will greet friends and relatives following the graveside service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1255 Julian Rd, Salisbury, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Howard may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, 1325 West Walnut Hill Lane, Irving, Texas.
