Helen L. Misenheimer

Helen L. Misenheimer, 69, of Covington, IN passed away at 4:53 p.m. EST Thursday Dec. 27, 1990 at USMC, Sager Campus. Born June 19, 1921, in Williamsport, IN, the daughter of Clarence A. and Berniece Jones Livengood.

She was employed by Community Action with the Senior Citizens Center of Covington. She was a former beauty operator in Covington. She was co-owner of the former Misenhelmer Hardware Store of Monticello, IN. She attended Benson Chapel United Methodist Church, west of Covington. She was a member of Covington American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed helping older people.

She is survived by: a daughter, Sharon Austin (Paul) Knebel of Peru, IN; a granddaughter, Lisa Austin (Steve) McQueen of Covington; two greatgrandchildren, Kristen Hayes and Benjamin Robert McQueen; two sisters, Mrs. Barbara F. (Mark) Dinsmore of Covington and LaVorne L. Middleton of Covington. She was preceded in death by a son, Benjamin L. Misenheimer, on July 23, 1988, her parents, and a brother, Bill Livengood.

Services were at the Benson Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Beach officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Arrangements were by DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home in Cayuga, IN.
