Eva Carldine Artz Millsaps

Eva Carldine Artz Millsaps, 67, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.

Born in Rowan County on December 8, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Eula Mae Eller Artz and Carl Lee Artz.

Mrs. Millsaps was a graduate of East Rowan High School, then went on to Piedmont Bible College. She was a teacher at Gospel Light Christian School and North Hills Christian School, then Rockwell Christian School for over 30 years. She also painted and wallpapered homes. Mrs. Millsaps was the activities director at The Meadows in Rockwell. She worked with the Child Evangelism Fellowship and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Rockwell where she taught children’s church. She was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She loved crafts, singing, tending to children, and doing war reenactments with her husband and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wilford Banks Artz.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, William Millsaps and sisters, Linda Artz Eagle and Clara Artz Hiatt.

Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Bethel Baptist Church, 401 Depot St, Rockwell, NC. Service will begin at 2:00 PM with Dr. John Houghton and the Rev. David Fulp officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
