Elizabeth "Ann" Mauldin Briggs Shaver
Elizabeth “Ann” Mauldin Briggs Shaver, of Salisbury, NC passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at her residence.
Ann was born in Davie Co, NC to the late Thelma Motley Mauldin and Morris Glenn Mauldin and was a graduate of Davie County schools. She retired from the Rowan Public Library where she was employed for 30 years working in the circulation department.
Ann attended Milford Hills United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Harold B. Jarrett American Legion Auxiliary Post and the VFW Auxiliary Post #3006. She was a faithful and longtime volunteer at the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center. Ann enjoyed her service and being able to help in many areas of the facility.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David C. Shaver on January 8, 2016; siblings, Maurice T. Mauldin, Janet L. Mauldin, Linda Keziah and Jackie Tingle.
Surviving are her daughters, Debbie Wagner and husband Leonard of Durham, NC and Gwyn Richardson of Clemmons, NC; grandchildren: Stephanie Osborne Russell and husband Brain, Greyson Rogers and wife Lisa, Allyson Wagner and Meghan Santucci and husband Anthony; and great grandchildren: Manning Brewer and Rex Russell, Noah and Silas Rogers, Weston Wagner, LenniAnn and Boone Santucci.
A Graveside service will be held at 11 AM Friday (January 12, 2024) at the U.S. National Cemetery, Statesville Blvd location.
Memorials may be made to Rowan County Honor Guard, 1025 Church Faith Street, Salisbury, NC.
