Betty Joan Eller Frye
Betty “Joan” Frye is finally home!
Coach Frye walked on to be with her husband, Don and her son, Darryl on Monday, November 1, 2021, at home. She was surrounded by friends and family.
Joan was born January 6, 1933 in Landis. She was a daughter of the late John Eller and Bessie Caroline Eagle Eller.
Joan graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from Appalachian State University in Physical Education. She retired from Kannapolis City Schools where she taught Physical Education at Kannapolis Middle and A.L. Brown High School.
Joan was helped through her transition by her loving granddaughter Mikki and her son Stan. She is represented in life by them, as well as her sister, Nancy; daughter, Donna; grandson, John Lucas, JD; her great grandson, Tucker; and countless other friends and distant (but close) relatives.
Service: Her Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at Carolina Cemetery Park in Kannapolis.
