Loretta Ross Brown
Loretta Ross Brown 65, of 4 Cherry St., Badin, died at 9:57 a.m. Sunday Aug. 12, 2007 at her home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Marty Minto will officiate and entombment will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Born March 8, 1942, in Stanly County, she was daughter of Mildred Arey Ross of Badin and the late James Ross and was an employee of Little Red School House.
She is survived by her husband, Bobby Henry Brown of the home; three daughters, Dianne Russell and husband, Jerry, Bobbie Throneburg and husband, Todd, and Tiffany Starnes and husband, Matthew, all of Albemarle; a brother, Lanny Ross of Badin; two sisters, Janelle Bowles of Mt. Gilead and Shirley Hinson of Oakboro; and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stanly Funeral Home where the body will remain until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
Memorials may made to Fairview Baptist Church, Albemarle; or Little Red School House, Albemarle.
