Notes for Mary Louise Hinson
Louise Hinson Goodman

SUMMERVILLE, SC - Louise Hinson Goodman, 79, of Summerville, SC, formerly of Santee, SC and Huntersville, NC, died on Saturday, February 28, 2015. Born May 5, 1935 in Albemarle, NC, Louise was the first daughter of the late Alvin Jones Hinson and Inez Mills. She graduated from Albemarle High School in 1954 and then attended Kings Business College in Charlotte, NC. On February 26, 1955, she wed Charles Richard Goodman.

Louise and Charles soon moved to Huntersville, NC to begin their life together. Their son, Charles Richard Goodman Jr., was born on March 10. 1958.

Louise worked in the business office at Huntersville Hospital for several years.

Louise and Charles retired to Santee, SC in 1985, buying a home in the Sanoree development. They also purchased a mountain home in Valle Crucis, NC which brought them great joy. During her years in Santee, Louise was able to pursue her loves of gardening and travel. She loved to participate in the Red Hat Society and was also very involved in establishing and serving the Santee Presbyterian Church both as a charter member and an Elder.

After Charles passed away in 1991, Louise downsized to a home in the Bradford Village community in Santee. In 2009 Louise moved again - this time to The Village At Summerville, a Presbyterian retirement community in Summerville, SC where she recently passed away. Her years at The Village were some of her happiest because of the special friendships she developed and the wonderful care the Village staff provided for her.

Louise was honored and remembered - and her life celebrated - in a Community Memorial Service held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, March 1, 2015 at The Village.
