ALBEMARLE - Alvin Jones Hinson, 79, of Route 2, Troy Road, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 1992 at his home.
The funeral was to be at 2 p.m. today at Anderson Grove Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Charles Stevens. Burial was to be in the church cemetery.
Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, was in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 921 N. Third St., Albemarle, N.C. 28001, or the American Cancer Society, P.O Box 1181, Albemarle, N.C. 28002.
Born March 15, 1912, in Albemarle, Hinson was a son of the late Charlie G. and Minnie Williams Hinson. Retired from the maintenance department of Austin Knitting Mills, he was a member of Anderson Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Inez Mills Hinson, two daughters, four brothers, J.V. Hinson of Hickory and Reid, Ernest and Grady Hinson, all of Albemarle,; and four grandchildren.
