Garry Troy Trexler
Garry Troy Trexler, 84, of Rockwell, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at his residence.
He was born May 13, 1938 in Gold Hill, NC to the late David Earl and Elsie May Kluttz Trexler. Troy served in the United States Army and National Guard. He was owner/operator of Trexler Automotive where he repaired automobiles and built racing engines. Troy was a member of Organ Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Roy Trexler and Glenn "Bud" Trexler.
Troy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Honeycutt Trexler; son, Gary Dean Trexler Cline and wife Lisa of Raleigh, NC; brother, Butch Trexler of Rockwell, NC; two grandchildren, Lauren Croniser and husband Chris and Aaron Cline and wife Zhevon; and three great-grandchildren, Colton and Grayson Croniser and Zariah Cline.
The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, April 16, 2023, 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, 913 W. Main Street, Rockwell, NC.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, April 16, 2023, in the Powles Staton Funeral Home with Pastor Tonya Brittain officiating.
A private graveside service will take place at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum.
At the family's request memorials may be made to Organ Lutheran Church, 1515 Organ Church Road, Salisbury, NC, and Parkinson's Association of the Carolinas, 2101 Sardis Road N #102, Charlotte, NC, instead of sending flowers.
