Ralph “Tony” Misenheimer

Ralph A. "Tony" Misenheimer, age 81, beloved member of the Rockwell community, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023.

He was a graduate of East Rowan High School and earned an electrical degree at Rowan Technical College. He worked for Duke Power Company and then started his own business, RAM Electric.

Mr. Misenheimer was a member and an officer in the Rockwell City Fire Department and a First Responder. He was a Mason with Keller Memorial Lodge and an Oasis Temple Shriner. He was a lifelong member of St. James Lutheran Church, where he was a Trustee, served on the Church Congregational Council, and was very active on the Property Committee. Tony volunteered many times with the NC Baptist Men to provide disaster relief in many areas in the United States. He was also an avid surf fisherman.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Adam Misenheimer and Blondell Park Misenheimer.

Mr. Misenheimer is survived by his wife, Melvia Misenheimer; two sons, Allen Misenheimer (Dena) and Chris Misenheimer (Yuko), four grandchildren; his two step-children, Jeffrey Hutchinson and Blair Hutchinson Green; three step-grandchildren; and one step great-grandchild.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, December 23, from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM at St. James Lutheran Church, 131 West Main Street, Rockwell, NC 28138.

The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM on Saturday, at the church, with the Reverend Oscar Shepherd officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Masonic Rites conducted by Keller Memorial Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church, Rockwell, NC.

Tony was an excellent motivator, colleague, and friend. He will be deeply missed by those who love him.
