Beauford Edward “Ed” Wagoner

Beauford Edward “Ed” Wagoner, II, 56, of Gold Hill, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022, at his home in Gold Hill, NC.

Mr. Wagoner was born August 29, 1965, in Rowan County, NC to the late Beauford and Janet Brady Wagoner. Ed was a graduate at East Rowan High School in 1983. Shortly after graduating he started working at Oakwood Homes located in Rockwell, North Carolina. While working there he learned the skill of carpentry which he would later use the rest of his life. Mr. Wagoner would later work at Philip Morris located in Concord, North Carolina.

Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman. If you could not find him at home, you would find him at a local pond fishing or located in a tree stand waiting for the next big deer to walk out. With carpentry skills learned from Oakwood, he built box stands to hunt from for many years.

Mr. Wagoner is survived by his son, Jacob Wagoner of King, North Carolina. He is also survived by three sisters, Melissa Lowman, Regina Smith, and Amanda Small, several nephews and nieces, and his significant other, Gussie Lamb. He was preceded in death by a sister, Sylvia Wagoner.

The family will greet friends and relatives on February 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Saint Paul Wesleyan Church located at 18750 Old Beatty Ford Road, Gold Hill, North Carolina in a private service.
