ALBEMARLE - Louis Elwood Furr, 64, 32024 Old Parker Road, died Sunday ( Oct. 17, 1999) at Stanly Manor, Albemarle.
Born Feb. 5, 1935, in Stanly County, Mr. Furr was a son of the late Rosa Jane Furr and Marshall Lemuel Furr. Mr. Furr was a self-employed carpenter, handling home repair. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include wife Alice Mae Furr; stepdaughter Wanda King; sisters Vera Helms, Nellie Huneycutt, Ruby McIntyre and Lula Morton, all of Albemarle; and one granddaughter.
Services: 11 a .m. Wednesday, Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Mitchell D. Cook.
Burial, Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Albemarle.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the residence.
