Mrs. Nada Luttie Harwood Furr, 83, of Albemarle, died July 28, 2001 at NorthEast Medical Center. A funeral service was held July 30 at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church where she was a charter member. Burial was in the church cemetry.

A homemaker, she was born May 4, 1918 in Stanly County, the daughter of Gladie Efird Harwood and John Rufus Harwood.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years Grover Silas Furr of the home; five sons, Joe Harold, Walter Ray, John Adam and Lewis Grover Furr, all of Albemarle and Kenneth Paul Furr of Concord; four daughters, Martha Thompson and Betty Fesperman, both of Albemarle; Annie Kluttz of Oakboro and Mary Isenhour of Concord; a sister, Mildred Harwood Winecoff of Gold Hill; 25 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorials may be sent to Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church, or to the Metrolina Kidney Center of Albemarle.
