Etta Mae Rinehart Poole, 90, of Rockwell, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017.

She was born May 16, 1927 in Rockwell, NC to the late Solomon Bruner and Joetta Lyerly Rinehart. She attended Rockwell High School and retired as a Seamstress from Carolina Maid.

Mae was a life long member of Grace Lowerstone Reformed Church, she was a member of the Women's Guild, Willing Workers Circle, Grounds Committee for church beautification. Mae was the cofounder of the Timeless Treasures Senior Group, she was a past Sunday school teacher, and held many offices with in the church. Mae had complete involvement in all church activities throughout her life.

Mae absolutely loved gardening and canning, quilting and sewing. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her Husband, Lawson Alvin Poole, Brother, SB "June" Rinehart, Jr., brother, William "Bill" Carson Rinehart, sisters, Vernette Heilig, Elsie Peterson, and Kathryn Trexler.

"Mae Mae" is survived by her son, Lonnie Poole and wife Kimberlie of Rockwell; two daughters, Carmelita Antosek and husband Louis of Salisbury, and Candy Broadway and husband Buddy of Rockwell, NC; two grandsons, Mickey Broadway and Wendy Starnes, and Casey Broadway and Hollie Hill; five granddaughters, Claire Brinkley and husband Mark, Anna Allman and husband Luke, Savannah Poole and husband Mike Curtis, Amanda Godfrey and husband Jay, and Lacy Leland and husband Cody; seven great-grandsons, Jack Broadway, Preston Hill, Lonnie Godfrey, Austin Godfrey, Hayden Leach, Kolt Leland, Will Allman; two great-granddaughters, Emmalyn Leland, Lily Allman; sister, Beatrice Harwood; special friends, Bud & Katie Cagle of Variety Produce in Rockwell.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Sunday, November 26, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017, at the Grace Lower Stone Church, Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Jay Whitley, and Dr. Darryl Maxwell, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Grace Lower Stone Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Lower Stone Reformed Church Memorial Fund 2405 Lowerstone Church Road Rockwell, NC 28138.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff, nurses and doctors of the Rowa n Hospice and Palliative Care and the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House for their care and support during Mae's time there.
