Zelma Love

Zelma Ford Love, 82, of Mt. Pleasant, NC, passed away July 28, 2016 at Bethany Woods Nursing Home, Albemarle, NC. She was born August 14, 1933 in Concord, NC, the daughter of the late Harold and Carrie Kepley Ford. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dwight A. Love and siblings Zona Ford Troutman, Clifford Ford, Vernon Ford, and Viola Ford Lemons.

She is survived by five children: Dale Love (Meg) of Salisbury,NC; Nancy Love McIntyre (Roy) of New London, NC; Joyce Love Eudy (Ronnie)of Concord, NC; Jeffrey Love (Karen) of Richfield, NC; Barbara Love Eudy (Randal Heintz) of Mt. Pleasant, NC., eight grandchildren: Andrea Russell (Isaac) of Richfield, NC; Scott McIntyre (Brooke) of Indian Land, SC; Sarah Love (Andrew Carlisle) of Greensboro, NC, Phillip Eudy of Concord, NC; ; Jessica Love of Richfield, NC; Lane Eudy, (Ashley) of Concord,NC; Mark McIntyre (Joleen) of Albemarle, NC; Andrew Love (Kadie Huffman) of Concord, NC; and five great grandchildren Ava Russell, Jonah Russell, Isley McIntyre, Macy McIntyre, and Dayton McIntyre.

She was a member of Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church where she was a member of the Women’s Fellowship and chosen one year as Woman of the Year. She participated in many church activities and enjoyed attending Young at Heart Club.

She will be remembered by her family for her big heart and willingness to help her family and others in any way needed. She enjoyed cooking, watching birds, working in the garden, canning, growing flowers, dancing, caring for her very special dog, Maddie, and going to High Rock Lake. She was retired from Carol May/Arrowwood Hosiery of Mt. Pleasant, NC where she worked as a supervisor.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bethany Woods for their care given to Zelma over the past two years and their kindness during her declining health.

Visitation will be held at Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church, Saturday, July 30, from 3:00-4:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 4:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Bear Creek Reformed Church, 18937 Bear Creek Church Rd., Mt. Pleasant, NC 28124.
