Naomi Arlene Haynes

Naomi Arlene Haynes, 93, of Faith, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Novant Health Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

She was born July 26, 1928 in Rowan County to the late Homer and Kate Brown Basinger.

Mrs. Haynes retired from Fieldcrest Cannon. She was a lifelong member of Faith Lutheran Church and a member of the Faith Civitans. She enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Haynes, brother, Ferrell Basinger and her sister, Carol Edwards.

Arlene is survived by her Son, John (Janet) Haynes; Daughter, Kathy (Dana) Ingold; Four Grandsons, Chris Haynes (Katie), Garrett Ingold, Bryson Ingold, Cole Ingold; Granddaughter, Ashtyn (Cody) Tidwell; Great-granddaughter, Naomi Kate Haynes and her Two Great-grandsons, Bo Jensen Haynes and Jackson Glenn Haynes. She is also survived by her Brother, Voight Basinger; Sister, Phyllis Beck and her special caregiver, Joan Causey.


The family will greet friends and relatives on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, Faith, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the Faith Lutheran Church, Faith, NC, with Pastor Rob Crawford and Pastor Carl Haynes officiating.

Burial will take place in the Salisbury National Cemetery on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM.
