Nancy Hodge Coggin

NEW LONDON — Nancy Cathern Hodge Coggin, 88, 1510 Deep River Road, High Point, formerly of New London, died Wednesday (Aug. 11, 1999) at High Point Regional Medical Center, High Point.

Born Oct. 15, 1910, in Rowan County, Mrs. Coggin was a daughter of the late Luther C. and Jane Morgan Hodge. She was a homemaker. A member of First Baptist Church of New London, she was a former Training Union director, Woman’s Missionary Union director, Sunday school teacher of the Young Ladies Class and teacher of the Junior Sunday School Girls Auxiliary.

Her husband, William Homer Coggin, died Nov. 5, 1993.

Survivors include daughters Jane Skeen and Nanci Motsinger, both of High Point; brother Lee A. Hodge, Chesapeake, Va.; four granddaughters; and one great-grandchild.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Stanly Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. David Ayers. Burial, New London Cemetery.

Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
