Bobby Wayne Steele, 52, Rockwell, NC passed away on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at the Palliative Care Unit of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC.
Bobby was born August 28, 1956 in Rowan County the son of Catherine Fisher Steele of Rockwell and the late James Milburn Steele.
Bobby attended East Rowan High School, was of the Lutheran Faith and had worked as a Crew Foreman for Dry's Car Crushing.
In addition to his father, Bobby is also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Steele.
Survivors in addition to his mother are son, Gary Wayne Steele of Rockwell, daughters, Tiffany Ghent of Gold Hill and Elizabeth Lynn Fuson of Rocky Mount, brothers, David Steele and Jim Steele of Gold Hill, sister, Judy Livengood of Salisbury and six grandchildren.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Powles Funeral Home, Rockwell.
Funeral Services: 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Powles Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Bruce Sheeks, Pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Rockwell.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Powles Funeral Home, P. O. Box 248, Rockwell, NC 28138.
