Ralph Curtiss Luther
Ralph Curtiss Luther, 88 years old, of China Grove, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 23, 2023.
Ralph was born on August 11, 1934, in Montgomery County to the late John and Mary Robinson Luther.
Ralph proudly served his country in the US Navy for 30 years achieving the rank of E-9 and was a Chief Personnelman. Ralph was a member of the Masonic Lodge Eureka 283 in China Grove, and a member of the First Baptist Church in China Grove. Ralph was an avid golfer who loved to read and watch western movies. He also had a great sense of humor and loved all his family and friends.
Ralph was predeceased by his sisters, Louise Haynes and Sue Leonard; and his half-brother, John Frank Luther, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lydia Crisp “Lou” Luther; his son, Scott Luther, and his wife Denise; his daughter, Trina Wertz; his sister, Carolyn Scercy; his grandchildren, Chris Hamilton and his wife Elizabeth, and John Hamilton; his great-grandchildren, Autumn Holloway and John Hamilton, II, and his five stepchildren.
Arrangements: The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 3, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in China Grove, with a 11:30am Memorial Service to follow. Interment of his cremated remains will take place with military honors at 1pm in Salisbury National Cemetery.
Memorials: Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 302 Patterson St, China Grove, NC.
