WINSTON-SALEM - Violet Honeycutt Eagle, 68, of Winston-Salem, died Friday (April 6, 2001) at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.

Born Oct. 24, 1933 in Rowan County, Mrs. Eagle was a daughter of the late Jasper Clay and Margaret Ludwick Honeycutt. She retired from Bell South after 31 years of service. She was a lifetime member of Bell Telephone Pioneers, Salem Council.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Claude D. Eagle; daughter Leanne E. Allen, Mocksville; son Claude D. Eagle, Jr., Winston-Salem; sisters Roberta Honeycutt Ragan, Salisbury, and Nolie Ann Honeycutt Myers, Kannapolis; brother David Richard Honeycutt, Rockwell; and three grandchildren.

Services: 2 p.m. Monday, Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home chapel, conducted by Jack Stoner. Burial, Westlawn Gardens of Memory.

Visitation: 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
