Myrtle Marie (Carter) Moore
In loving memory of Myrtle Marie (Carter) Moore, 88, of Hagerstown, who went to be with Our Lord on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Meritus Medical Center, while surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 27, 1924, in North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Hattie (Ritchie) Carter.
Myrtle was a member of the Church of God Universal. She loved to garden and sew.
She is survived by:
two sons,
Malloya Moore, Jr. of Hagerstown,
David Moore and wife Ruth of Hancock;
two daughters,
Betty Hendrix and husband Wendell of Lexington, S.C.,
Rose Zeigler of Hagerstown;
a brother,
Johnny Carter and wife Mary Rose of NC.;
a sister, Patsy Carter of NC.;
seven grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren;
four great-great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents,
she was also preceded in death by
her husband, Malloya Moore, Sr.;
a son-in-law, Gary Zeigler;
five brothers, and
two sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 with the Rev. Alvin Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
