SALISBURY - Ron Crossett, 67, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Forsyth Medical Center.
Born Feb. 10, 1947, in Rowan County, he was the son of Bill and Frances McCombs Crossett of Salisbury.
He was a 1965 graduate of of East Rowan High School. Ron was employed at Proctor Chemical, then National Starch as a development chemist, giving them 31 years of service until his retirement in 2002.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Garrett Crossett in 1967 and a dear niece, Kristen Hinds in 2007.
In addition to his parents, Ron is survived by brother, Richard Crossett (Judy); and sisters, Barbara Hinds (Mark), Deanna Wagoner (Dewey) and Jane Wagoner (Arnold). Nephews, Brandon, Joshua (Rachelle) and Ryan; and nieces, Meredith (Dusty), Rebekah, Tiffany and Rayla, are all left to cherish his memory.
His strength and courage has been an inspiration to all that loved him.
Visitation and Service: The immediate family will be receiving extended family and friends at 1029 Spring Rock Dr., Salisbury, from 5-8: p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014. A private graveside service will be held the following morning.
Memorials:Memorials may be made to Shiloh Reformed Church, Faith, NC.
