Ronnie Allen Lowder

Ronnie Allen Lowder, 69, of Albemarle, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Ronnie was born March 11, 1952 in Stanly County to the late James Vance Lowder and the late Margaret Louise Eudy Lowder. 

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 12:45 pm, Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 1:00 pm at Hartsell Funeral Home's Lefler Memorial Chapel, officiated by John Daniel. He will be laid to rest at Stanly Gardens of Memory in Albemarle. For safety, the family requests that friends wear masks and maintain social distancing. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Betty Ann Walton Lowder; son, Todd R. (Candice) Lowder; granddaughter, Gracie Rae Lowder; step-grandson, Elijah Moffitt; step-granddaughter, Georgia Ruth Moffitt; brothers, Mark (Tonya) Lowder, Tony (Teresa) Lowder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was a jack of all trades and knew how to do anything. He worked for himself when he was young driving his own truck, and numerous of other truck driving jobs over the years. Ronnie was a mechanic and worked at Almond Brothers, Certified Mechanical, Inc., and other various companies. Ronnie selflessly gave his time to others. He worked with Christian Cooking Convoy for over 15 years. He loved helping people in need; going to the nursing home to visit people that he knew and taking them apple turnovers that he made with his own hands from scratch. He enjoyed fundraising and volunteering for various community organizations. He was very well-known and will be missed by his many friends and family.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County and The Uwharrie, 960 North First Street, Albemarle, NC.
