Thursday, March 23, 2006 — Louise Eudy Lowder, 78, of 21129 Austin Road, Albemarle, died at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006, in Stanly Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral was 4 p.m. Monday in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Revs. Gary Hunsucker and Yates Brooks officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Oakboro.
Born Feb. 23, 1928, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Carrie Burleson Eudy.
A homemaker, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, but also attended Vine Life Baptist Church. She also was employed with Wiscassett Hosiery Mill and later in sales. She was a Hospice volunteer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Vance Lowder, and a sister, Ruby Carter.
She is survived by three sons, Tony Lowder of Summerville, S.C., and Ronnie Lowder and Mark Lowder, both of Albemarle; a sister, Shirley Turner of Harrisburg; and five brothers, Coolidge Eudy, Marvin Eudy, Coy Lee Eudy and Dale Eudy, all of Oakboro, and J.C. Eudy of Belmont.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, or Vine Life Baptist Church, 24655 St. Martin Church Road, Albemarle, NC.
