Mrs. Verna Novella Kepley Beck, 71, died June 20, 2004, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, with the Reverend Jerald Stump officiating. Entombment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Mrs. Beck was born in Rowan County to the late Dewey Lester and Bertie Casper Kepley. She was a member of Pinecroft Baptist Church. Mrs. Beck enjoyed crocheting and interior decorating. She donated clothing to hospitals for newborn infants.
Mrs. Beck is survived by her husband of 53 years, EJ Beck of the home; daughter, Detra Beck Morton and husband, Bryan of Summerfield; son, Eric J. Beck and wife, Elaine of Asheboro; and two grandchildren, Rachel Dawn and Jacob Bryan Morton.
