LEACH COUPLE VICTIMS OF COLLISION
Jerry Lee Leach, 35, and his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Holmes Leach, 37, of Rt. 1, Gold Hill, died instantly at 11:50 pm Monday from injuries sustained in a two truck accident on Highway 52.
Mr. Leach was born February 16, 1838, in Rowan County and was a son of John Edward and Ruby Miller Leach of Rt.1, Gold Hill. He was educated in the Rowan County schools, and was a plumber.
In addition to his parents, survivors include one son, Wayne Leach of the home-four daughters, Barbara Lynn, Carol Ann, Rebecca and Cassandra Leach, all of the home; two brothers, Perry Arnold Leach of Rt. 5, Salisbury and Terry Lewis Leach of Rt. 1, Gold Hill; and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Thompson of Flint, Michigan and Mrs. Edith Talley of Rt.2, Gold Hill.
Double funeral services for Jerry Lee Leach and his wife, Mrs. Kathleen Holmes Leach, were held at 2 pm Thursday at Powles Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell.
Officiating at the rites was the Rev. Joe King, pastor of Aquadale Baptist Church in Stanly County. Burial was in East Corinth Baptist Church cemetery.
