Nannie Troutman Eagle Hartis

ROCKWELL -- The funeral is Friday for Nannie "Nan" Troutman Eagle Hartis, 94, formerly of Irish Potato Road, who died Tuesday (April 26, 2005) at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis.

Born Oct. 20, 1910, in Cabarrus County, Mrs. Hartis was a daughter of the late William Manlus Albert and Ida Jane Wensil Troutman. She retired from Cannon Mills Plant Four weave room. A member of Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church, she was a former member of the Senior Choir at Cannon Memorial YMCA, Kannapolis.

Her first husband, Lee Andrew Eagle, died Aug. 4, 1974, and her second husband, Willie "Bill" Jefferson Hartis, died April 22, 1991.

Survivors include daughters Jeanette Eagle Weatherman, Kannapolis, and Marjorie Eagle Long, Concord; brother W.C. "Bill" Troutman, China Grove; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 4 p.m. Friday, Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Karen Kaser Odor. Burial, church cemetery.

Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Lady's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. At other times, the family will be at the home of daughter Jeanette Weatherman, 5487 Irish Potato Road.
