Jeanette Eagle Weatherman

Mrs. Jeanette Eagle Weatherman, 91, peacefully passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at St. Andrews Assisted Living Center in Concord. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery. Rev. Mary Hatley will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kannapolis. Those who attend the service are asked to wear masks and social distance.

Mrs. Weatherman was born August 1, 1929 in Rowan County. She was a daughter of the late Lee Andrew Eagle and Nannie Troutman Eagle Hartis. She retired from Pillowtex, where she worked in the wash cloth department.

Jeanette was a life-long member of Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Friendly Circle, the United Methodist Women, treasurer of the Sunshine Group, and recipient of the Mother of the Year award. Her most enjoyable service to the Mt. Mitchell community was supervising the dessert serving at the church's monthly hot dog fundraiser.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Doyle Weatherman, Sr. and her sister, Marjorie Eagle Long.

Mrs. Weatherman is survived by three children, Patsy Caudill and husband Lester of Kannapolis, Nancy Cooke and husband Clayton of Boone and Robert Doyle "Bob" Weatherman, Jr. and wife Cheryl of Concord; six grandchildren, Aprille Caudill Bell (Bryan Crews), Heather Caudill Puckett (Chris), Barrett Cooke (Cassandra), Jennifer Cooke, Katie Weatherman Tucker (Stephen) and Amy Weatherman (Stephanie Dunlap); nine great grandchildren, TJ and Isaac, Caroline and Carter, Emerson and Bennett, Charlotte Claire, and Parker and Elliot. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Margene W. Troutman and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Andrews Assisted Living Center, 246 Cabarrus Avenue, W, Concord, NC; Community Home Care and Hospice, 156 Corporate Boulevard, Indian Trail, NC; or to Mt. Mitchell United Methodist Church, 6001 Old Salisbury Concord Road, Kannapolis, NC.
