Cynthia "Cindy" Cauble Shaver

Cynthia "Cindy" Cauble Shaver, 69, of Richfield, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury.

She was born February 5, 1952, in Stanly County to the late Jimmy Vern Cauble and Anzonetta Drye Cauble. Mrs. Shaver was a graduate of North Stanly High School and Pfeiffer College where she received her bachelors degree in education. For over 40 years she taught elementary school, teaching at Ridgecrest Elementary School for over 30 years and later at Park Ridge Christian School in Albemarle. She was a member of Wyatt's Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and assisted with VBS. Cindy enjoyed feeding and watching birds, her favorite being hummingbirds and cardinals, reading, and most of all, spending time with her granddaughters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Lynn Cauble.

She is survived by her husband Larry C. Shaver, whom she married June 21, 1987; daughter, Megan Shaver Hinson and husband, Jared, of Salisbury; son, Larry C. Shaver, Jr., and wife, Maggie, of Raleigh; granddaughters, LucieAnn and LillyRae Hinson; her first Shaver grandson who is due in February; brothers, Jim Cauble of Gastonia and Steve Cauble of Mt. Pleasant; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will greet friends and relatives Thursday, December 16, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home in Rockwell.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 17, in Wyatt's Grove Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. David Jones.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Masks are optional for those attending services.

For her love of children, the family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN.
