Algie Bame Shaver

RICHFIELD - Algie Bame Shaver, 86, of Richfield, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Magnolia Gardens of Spencer.

Mrs. Shaver was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Rowan County to the late Adam L. Bame and Amanda Bean Bame. She was educated in the Ponds School and retired from Cannon Mills and Carolina Maid as a seamstress. Mrs. Shaver was a member of the Wyatts Grove Baptist Church. Her husband Walter Clifford Shaver, who died Feb. 22, 1991, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons William A. Bill Shaver and Larry C. Shaver both of Richfield; two sisters Arbie Edna Doss of High Point and Christine Graham of Greensboro; and four grandchildren.

Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Wyatts Grove Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. David Jones, Pastor, and Rev. Johnny Daniels, Pastor of the East Corinth Baptist Church. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

Burial: Church Cemetery.

Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Powles Funeral Home.
