Emily Louise Culp Sloop
Mrs. Emily Louise Culp Sloop, 89, passed away peacefully of natural causes Friday, February 23, 2018.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at The Amity House at Lady's Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends following the service Wednesday at The Amity House.
Mrs. Sloop was born May 24, 1928 in Cabarrus County. She was the only child of the late William Murphy Culp and Annie Louise Penniger Culp of Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Leonard Mitchell Basinger; second husband, Homer Greene; and Billy A. Sloop, her third husband of 26 years.
Mrs. Sloop is survived by her only son, David M. Basinger; granddaughter, Kelly Basinger; step-grandson, Chad Strong; step-son, Lyn Sloop; step-daughter, Pam Sloop; and Cameron Sloop, step-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Providence Care Hospice, York, SC.
