Steve Yoe

Steven Reid “Steve” Yoe, 59, of Faith, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Novant Rowan Medical Center. Steven was born on April 23, 1955 in Rowan County, a son of the late Thomas H. Yoe, Jr. and Virginia Brinkley Yoe.

Steve attended East Rowan High School and Hargrave Military Academy. He and his cousin Mike worked for their granddaddy at WF Brinkley & Sons Construction Co. where he operated heavy equipment.

Steve was a member of Shiloh Reformed Church in Faith. He loved his Lord, NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt. Steve loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. WF Brinkley, Sr., & Mr & Mrs. Thomas H. Yoe, Sr; and father in law, Howard McCombs.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of over 37 years, Christy McCombs Yoe; his precious daughter, Haley Yoe Shaffer and husband Craig; grandchildren, Mattie, Grant and Luke. Sister, Shirley Yoe Perkins of Sunset Beach; brother, Tip Yoe and wife Carlene of Granite Quarry, and mother in law, Aliene Cauble McCombs. Steve is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Steve also had "brothers of the heart", Steve Regan, James Alexander, Mark Anthony, Terry Craft, Randy Boger and Mike Brinkley. "Sisters of the Heart", Andrea Regan, Sharron Deal and Peggy Artz.

There will be a Memorial Service on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Shiloh Reformed Church, conducted by Rev. Richard Myers and Rev. Steve Regan.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Monday in the Parlor at Shiloh Reformed Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shiloh Reformed Church PO Box 308, Faith NC 28041, Shallow Ford Christian Church 1263 Shallowford Church Road, Elon NC 27244, or to the National Tourette Syndrome Association 42-40 Bell Boulevard, Bayside NY 11361.
