John William Brady, Sr.
John William Brady, Sr. 83, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury.
He was born on July 23, 1933 to the late E.J. and Addie Trexler Brady in Salisbury, NC. John was a 1952 graduate of Granite Quarry High School, he retired from Cone Mills in 1989. John was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. He enjoyed farming, traveling, and watching baseball.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by Wife, Carlene W. Brady, Sisters, Annie Lee Brady, and Jeanette Kluttz; and granddaughter, Cheryl Wyrick.
John is survived by Two Daughters, Teresa Shinn and husband James of Rockwell, and Paula Desmond and husband Donald of Easton, PA; Two Sons, John W. Brady Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Salisbury, and James Brady and wife Sonya of Salisbury, NC; he is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017, 11:00 am at the Powles Staton Funeral Home Chapel, Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Joe Black, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Brookhill Memorial Gardens.
