Notes for Muriel Almond
Muriel Heffner

Ms. Muriel A. Heffner, 78, of Concord, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at St. Andrews Assisted Living with her family by her side, following a long battle with Alzheimers.

Muriel was born April 7, 1940 in Mt. Pleasant to the late W. Craven and Cora Gertrude Almond.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Almond and Harold Almond.

Most will remember her sweet smile as she waited on them at What-A-Burger #13 for more than 30 years.  One of the most important things to her was family.

Survivors include her four children, Alan Linker (Pam), Robin Moore (Eric), Mark Linker (Lawanda), Tony Linker (Robin); sister, Ruby Love; seven grandchildren, Secily Nichols (Dustin), Nicole Lopez (Cesar), Anna Linker Brown, Tyler Linker (Paige), Amanda Phillips (Brandon), Jacob Linker, and Holly Linker; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church, Mount Pleasant, officiated by Rev. Ray Sipe.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends 11:00 am to 12:45 pm at the church.  At all other times, the family will be gathering at the home of her son, Alan Linker.

The Family would like to thank St. Andrews Assisted Living Center for the care and kindness given to her during her time there.

Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Association and Hospice of Cabarrus County.

Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Heffner family.
