She was an active lifelong member of Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church where she served in numerous positions until months before her death.

As our matriarch, who was wise, kind and peaceful, she lived a life dedicated to God and her family. Never ceasing in her prayers, she cared for each of us with open arms and open doors. As a lifetime care provider she touched many lives, young and old with her gentle love that never failed. The number of children she assisted in raising is uncountable. She was an avid gardener who loved to plant/grow/can and share her fresh vegetables along with growing Gladiolus to share and place in her church. She generously sewed with a happy heart all things from the knees of little boy’s pants to beautiful bridal gowns.

The family would like to thank Jo Anne Allman for her endless love shown. Also, Hospice of Cabarrus County especially Jennifer Carrol and Dora Leonard, along with Dr.Boan and Dr.Iglehart.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County; or Mt. Gilead Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant, NC.
