Ruby Fraley Snotherly

NEW LONDON -- Ruby Fraley Snotherly, 82, 44550 Ledbetter Road, died Monday (Aug. 11, 2003) at Stanly Memorial Hospital, Albemarle.

Born Feb. 28, 1921, in Rowan County, Mrs. Snotherly, a daughter of the late Cicero and Celia Ann Randall Fraley, was educated at New London School. She retired from Allison's Manufacturing Co. and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.

Her first husband, Jacob A. Miller, died in 1963; her second husband, Solomon A. Hearne, died March 1, 1983; and her third husband, John A. Snotherly, died Nov. 8, 2001.

Survivors include sons George A. Miller, Albemarle, Jacob M. Miller, New London, and Johnny L. Miller, Summerville, S.C.; daughter Mildred Miller Wagoner, Gold Hill; sister Minnie Fraley Howard, Denton; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Stanly Funeral Home chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Nick Rochester and the Rev. Jesse Howard. Burial, Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery.

Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home on Ledbetter Road.
