Notes for Linda Ruth Page
Linda Herlocker

Linda Ruth Page Herlocker, 67 years of age, of Creekridge Apts in Albemarle, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ at 7:25 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Carolina's Specialty Hospital in Pineville. II Corinthians 5:8 says, “Absent from the body, at home with the Lord.”

Born June 25, 1947, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas “Red” Page and the late Dorothy “Dot” Page.

Earlier in life, she enjoyed going to Church of God on Hill Street, spending time at Badin Lake, tanning in the outdoors, beach vacations, dancing, and was a big fan of Elvis.

Even while suffering from recent medical illnesses she always kept strong for her family. By trusting God she was able to endure many obstacles at her life's end. Although we are sad to lose her, we find peace and comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering but gained a new body today! She will be so greatly missed, but we know she is in a better place!

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, “Rosebud” Page and Tommy Joe Page.

The family will receive friends from 6pm-8pm on Sunday, September 28 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle. The funeral service will be at 3pm on Monday September 29, 2014 at Hill Street Church of God, 632 Hill Street, Albemarle, NC and will be officiated by Rev Thomas Andrufski. Burial will follow at the Stanly Gardens of Memory at 2001 East Main St., Albemarle.

Surviving family members include a daughter, Lisa Herlocker Richardson; a son, Tony Eugene Herlocker; son-in-law, John Richardson; and a daughter-in-law, Tiffany Herlocker; a sister, Carol Ann Page Laton; grandchildren, Toby Richardson, Jerrett Richardson, Brittany Herlocker Lanier, Tyler Herlocker and Summer Frick, great-grandchildren, Lexi Lanier, Chance Lanier and Tysen Herlocker; and her best friend of 30 years, Gary Russell, to whom the family will always be grateful for his love and care.

She will always be remembered for her love of God, her compassion, love, and grace toward others, and her determination to live for her family. She LOVED to talk to people! Mama, we love and miss you so much! See you in heaven soon!

Special thanks to the staff at Carolina's Specialty Hospital for their care.
