GOLD HILL - Anthony Louis "Tony" Cinquemani, age 74, of Gold Hill, passed away Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at Rowan Regional Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 1, 1935, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Anthony Louis Cinquemani, Sr. and Anna Casio Venieres. He was educated in Catholic Schools.

Mr. Cinquemani served in the United States Army. He was a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the state of North Carolina and also taught at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Mr. Cinquemani was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Alberta "Bert" Maness, whom he married Sept. 10, 1958; son, Tony Cinquemani, III (Lori) of Gold Hill; stepson, Marshall Swaringen (Janie) of Advance; daughter, Tania Hamilton of Rockwell; brother, John Cinquemani of Calif.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 7-8:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 11 at Lyerly Funeral Home.

Service and Burial: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the James C. Lyerly Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Sides officiating. Burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery (501 Statesville Blvd) with military honors.
