Jacob obtained a land grant for 183 acres on Cane Creek, Pendleton District, SC, on 18 November 1806. A deed for purchase of 72 acres on both sides of a branch of North Fork of the Village Fork of Cane Creek waters of the Keowee River for $127 was dated 19 December 1808. In 1825 the Pendleton Post Office advertised an unclaimed letter for Jacob Fricks. He was living in the Pendleton District in 1820 and 1830. He has not been found in the 1840 census. In 1850, "Cassie Frixt" was living in the household of "Henry Frixt" in Pickens County, SC.
