Notes for Mary House
Because of a shortage of women in the colony, in 1638 Thomas Ledbetter was granted 99 acres to sponsor and accompany two women from England, Mary House and Margry Linsal. They arrived 4 August 1638. Thomas’ son, Henry, inherited this land and married Mary.
