Mildred Miller Lentz

SALISBURY - Mrs. Mildred Miller "Millie" Lentz, 81, of Salisbury, passed away Sept. 7, 2011, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Lentz was born June 24, 1930, in Rowan County, a daughter of the late John McNeely Miller and Desdie Parker Miller. Educated in Rowan County schools, she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Lentz was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, John Irving Lentz; two sons, Timothy Lentz and wife Patricia and Douglas Lentz and wife Judy, both of Salisbury; two daughters, Sharon Lentz Hayden and husband Jim and Laura Lentz Arey and husband Kim, both of Salisbury; nine grandchildren are Zach Lentz, Matthew Lentz, Brian Lentz, Meredith Lentz, Jenna Lentz, Jason Hayden, Ashley Hayden Cleland, Taylor Arey and Logan Arey.

Service: The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at Liberty United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Brad Cunningham, pastor, with burial in the Church Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Liberty United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the Church.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 3885 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, NC 28071.
