Geraldine Trexler Miller

ROCKWELL - Geraldine Merel Trexler Miller, 81 of Rockwell died Thursday Nov. 9, 2006 at the Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Miller was born Nov. 9, 1925 in Rowan County, daughter of the late Murry Trexler and Carry Earnhardt Trexler. She was educated in the Gold Knob School and Rockwell High School. She had been a weaver at Cannon Mills, and a seamstress with Normans of Salisbury and previously owned and operated an Arts & Craft Shop in Rockwell. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker, a member of the Organ Lutheran Church and editor of the Miller Family Book and had done extensive genealogy research.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Mr. Leo A. Miller, whom she married Jan. 24, 1942; one son Lyn Miller of Rockwell; one daughter Lana Miller of Rockwell; grandchildren Angie Harrison, Wendle Miller, and Heather Heilig all of Rockwell; great-grandchildren Blake Heilig, Drew Miller, Hollie Harrison, and Adalie Harrison all of Rockwell and one sister Kathleen Abernathy of Salisbury.

Service: The Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Organ Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. Terrell Long, Pastor, and the Rev. Robert Yount, Visitation Pastor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Powles Funeral Home from 7-8:30 p.m. tonight.

Memorials: May be sent to Organ Lutheran Church.
