Pearl Eagle Campbell

SALISBURY - Mrs. Pearl Eagle Campbell, 91, of Salisbury died on Monday, June 11, 2007 at the Brian Center Nursing and Rehabilitation of Salisbury.

Born March 23, 1916 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late Grover Victor and Mary Lee Poole Eagle. She was educated in the Salisbury schools. Mrs. Campbell was employed at Cannon Mills Plant #7 before retiring. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Roy H. Campbell, Sr. on March 6, 2004.

Survivors include her children, Rachel C. Rufty and husband Tommy, Roy H. Campbell, Jr. and wife Norma, and Annette C. Poole and husband Jack all of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Brad Rufty of Waxhaw, Mark Rufty of Salisbury, Greg Campbell of Easley, SC, Jana Sifford of Salisbury, Jody Dagenhart of Salisbury and Scott Poole of Springdale, Ark.; 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at Shiloh United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday.

Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Shiloh United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jonathan Marlowe, pastor officiating. Entombment will follow at the Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum .

Memorials: May be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 315, Granite Quarry, NC 28072.
