SALISBURY - Pearl Morgan Swicegood, 79, died Sunday March 11, 2007 at Kate B. Reynolds Home, Winston-Salem.
She was born Aug. 9, 1927 in Rowan County to the late Emma Eagle Morgan and James Monroe Morgan. She was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was a bookkeeper with Bamby Bakery. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, altar guild, Women of the E.L.C.A. and a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Raymond Morgan and Curtis Morgan.
Mrs. Swicegood is survived by her husband, Louie A. Swicegood, of the home, whom she married April 20, 1958; daughter, Julie Swicegood Jordan and husband Teddy of Salisbury; brother, Baxter Morgan and wife Doris of Rockwell; sister, Geneva Long and husband C.W. Of Lexington; granddaughter, Roxanne Davis and husband Matt of Spencer and great-grandchild, Dillon Carter Davis of Spencer.
Entombment Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lakeside Mausoleum of Rowan Memorial Park with Rev. Carroll Robinson officiating.
Visitation: The family will be at the residence.
Memorials: Hospice and Palliative Care Center, Salisbury; or to Kate B. Reynolds Home, Winston-Salem.
